Delete your ChaloReview account
You can delete your account here or in the ChaloReview app's account settings. Both do the same thing.
How long it takes
Your account is locked as soon as you confirm. Your content is normally removed within a few minutes, and always within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your ChaloReview account and sign-in (email, password or Google link)
- Your profile: username, display name, photo, bio, phone, contact email and Instagram handle
- Every review you posted, with its photos, videos and the comments, votes and likes on it
- Every comment you posted on reviews and collections
- Your helpful votes, likes, recommendations and saved reviews
- Your collections
- Your list of blocked users, and blocks other people placed on you
- Your Terms acceptance record and account recovery requests
What we keep
- A deletion record (account ID, when the request was made and finished, and how many items were removed), kept for 365 days to show the request was carried out.
- If staff confirmed that your content broke our rules, a copy of that content and the moderation decision, kept for 180 days after deletion for safety and legal claims.
- Reports you sent about other people's content stay with our moderators but are no longer linked to you.
- Business listings you added from Google Maps stay on ChaloReview as public business information, with no link to you.
- Votes already counted in completed City Tournaments stay in the totals. They carry no name or email.
- Server logs, which can include your account ID or IP address, expire after 30 days.
Before you continue
- This can't be undone. You won't be able to recover your account, reviews or media.
- Your username may become available to someone else.
- Rewards, badges and loyalty status tied to your account end.
If you only want to remove some content, you can delete a comment, or edit your reviews and profile, without deleting your account.

Can't sign in?
Email contact@chaloreview.com from the email address on your account, with your username. To protect your account, we only delete it after confirming it's yours, by a reply from that address. We then delete it within 30 days, as described above.
